June 4 is the opening of the new school year 2007-2008. We are optimistic because we have 9 competent and innovative members in our teaching force. Mr. Richard Ochoco and Ms. Myra Lacaden have taken other carreer paths but we are happy with the return of Mrs. Dina Fortuno who joins us back after a year of sabbatical leave.
We expected a drop in enrollment this year because the construstion of our new building is still on its way. But we are most amazed and proud to announce that we in fact still had an increase in the enrollment this year. We have 50 incoming first year students. They will be joing the 156 returning students in the higher year levels. We also welcome 7 student transferees: Irene Abasola, Mary Liz Bucasas, Justine Marjorie Rondon, Bob Kristian Jay Bautista, Edray Corpuz, Jian Aldrick De Castro and Ringo Angelo Pagaduan. We hope your academic journey with Stella Maris Academy will truly be fruitful and colorful. Thank you for choosing catholic education. Thank you for choosing Stella Maris Academy.
We wish to thank in a very special way the administration of Quirino Elementary School under the leadership of its Principal, Mrs. Salvacion Bravo for allowing us to use some of their vacant rooms while the construction is going on. You are truly a good neighbor to us.
The year looks to be a very promising one. Aside from the revised basic education curriculum, we have also set up school mandated organizations that will assure that all the students will not only be enriched academically but likewise have the opportunity to improve on their personalities and their commitment to their Christian faith. We will be featuring these organizations in the upcoming postings.
